Eric Hirshberg, President
With over two decades of experience in REO asset management, Eric Hirshberg first distinguished himself as Asset Manager for Great Western Bank before the foreclosure boom of the early 1990s, then throughout the proliferation of massive foreclosures that followed. He continued to perform at high levels as Asset Manager after the merger of Great Western Bank with Washington Mutual earning Asset Manager of the Year honors in 1997 and the REO Department's Most Valuable Player Award in 1998.Eric joined Olympus Asset Management as a partner in the firm in 1999 where he became a major asset to clients because of his continued commitment to excellence and his many years of experience on the client side of the REO business. Eric subsequently bought the company outright in 2001 and began building Olympus Asset Management into the successful, growing company that it remains today, based on the principles of hard work, integrity, and proactive customer service, keeping in mind that what is best for the customer is ultimately best for his company.
In 2002 Olympus Asset Management earned Vendor of the Year honors and the Distinguished Service Award from Citicorp Trust Bank for their top performance as the leading asset management partner for the Maryland-based mortgage lender.
Mason Legendre, Vice President-Operations
Entering the REO business in 2001 as an Asset Manager with Olympus Asset Management, Mason Legendre is today a talented, knowledgeable and experienced veteran with extensive expertise in all aspects of REO management, marketing, sales, and closing processes. Mason's skill-sets, strong work ethic and commitment to customer service and client satisfaction have played vital roles in the growth and success of Olympus Asset Management. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all pre-marketing, asset management, construction/refurbishment management and closing management operations.Mason received a Top Performer Award from Citicorp Trust Bank in 2002 earning high praise from that company's REO Manager who then said Mason was one of the most valuable vendor partners with whom he and his team had the pleasure of working.
Lynn Effinger, Senior Vice President
A veteran of nearly 16 years in the mortgage loan default servicing industry, Lynn Effinger has held such diverse positions as Senior Asset Manager and Vice President-REO Manager for Great Western Bank, Vice President-REO Manager of Washington Mutual Bank, Vice President-REO Manager for Citicorp Trust Bank, Director of REO Services for Safeguard Properties, and Operations Manager for eAppraiseIT, a division of First American Corporation. Lynn also has over 20 years additional experience in the housing industry serving as a marketing consultant to numerous new home builders, developers, mortgage companies and real estate companies throughout Southern California, as Director of Advertising and Public Relations for Great Western Real Estate, and as Advertising Director for S&S Construction Company.Lynn was a pioneer in the early 1990s successfully utilizing REO asset management outsourcing to increase performance, decrease operating expenses, minimize holding time and maximize net asset recovery on non-performing real estate assets. His extensive knowledge and experience gained on both the client and vendor sides of the REO business make him a valuable member of our professional team and an asset to our many clients.
